Host Color (HC) is a Wilmington, New Castle County incorporated web hosting provider. The company has operated in European Union as until 2003 when it incorporated in Delaware. Host Color's was founded by Dimitar Avramov, one of today's popular authors and bloggers of web hosting industry. The company's U.S. facilities were collocated in RackShack, a company founded by Robert Marsh, that change its name to EV1SErvers in 2003, and then was transformed into today's The Planet. Since 2004 Host Color has created its own private data center in Colostore's data center located in South Bend, Indiana. The company operates its proprietary web hosting platform based on NextColor web hosting automation control panel and CentOS community enterprise operating system.


Shared hosting

Host Color shared, virtual private server and dedicated hosting services are based on Apache web server running on the centos free and open source operating system based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Company's customers manage their accounts and deal with company's support through a CRM called "PZone" and in NextColor control panel. The "PZone" features integrated products and service manager, billing and a support ticket system. Host Color is a cPanel Partner NOC and uses cPanel hosting automation pane, to power its customers' websites. It maintains a corporate blog where the company publishes news an information about its internal affairs as well as various news about product and service developments.

The hosting company provides WordPress, b2Evolution, TextPattern, MODx, Joomla, Drupal, MediaWiki, and other open source software applications as pre-installed tools in PowerTools and Fantastico auto-installer software libraries, part of NextColor and cPanel web hosting control panels. It also customizes its Shared Hosting plans for specific Linux based software environments.

Virtual private servers

In 2007, the company began providing VPS Hosting services based on Parallel's OS virtualization platform Virtuozzo Containers. The web host combines Parallel's Virtuozzo Containers OS virtualization technology with Plesk and cPanel control panels as well as with its proprietary hosting automation system and its branded customer relationship software. It also provides managed service with Virtual Private Servers.

Dedicated hosting

In the beginning of 2007, the company has announced a new Dedicated Hosting brand named HC Servers. Host Color is engaged in a number of non-commercial activities which aim to support the development of various Open Source based projects and applications. The company is a long term supporter and donor to MODx open source content management system and web application framework. It also donates to CentOS, Drupal and to various Textpattern communities.
