Hello friends, a new question from my side, that what is difference between popularity and authority of a web page or a website, are these 2 things differ, or are they related to each other? How Google decides the popularity and quality and how Google deals and give importance to popularity and authority?

Popularity is measured by Page Rank of your website or webpage. And the authority is measured by Domain Authority of Website and Page Authority of web page. Popularity is the website exposure in the online media and how much visitors like your website. Authority is the measure of trust that your website has through backlinks. Both are measured with equal criteria, but they are denoted separately depending on the popularity and trust of the website.

Popularity means how much that website will be know to user and authority means a website contains good quality back links and page rank that helps other website to get quality back links from there.

Being popular and an authority Sadly having authority content isn't enough you still need a degree of popularity. For Google see you as a real authority they have to be able to see that others think you are an authority too!
