Looking for DMOZ Backlinked Domains?

I realize this topic is old, but out of curiousity, if someone were to purchase an expired domain with a dmoz listing and 301 redirect it to their active website...  Would one need to make sure that the redirected website was of a similar category as the site it is directed to or can any site with DMOZ listing be redirected and give the new website DMOZ link juice without google penalty of any kind?
