Best In The House Tickets' founder, Andrew Wallenstein, began selling tickets in early 2005, very much by chance. He wound up with some extra tickets to a Billy Joel concert he planned to attend in Syracuse, NY, started an auction for the tickets on Ebay, and was surprised to see that they sold for more than the amount he had paid for them. Wallenstein, who holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University, realized that there was a demand for tickets that could not be met by the primary market alone, and began researching the secondary ticket market.

Wallenstein's professional background included management, marketing, sales and customer service experience gained over the years with positions he held at Macy's New York, and Cornell Magazine. His background and dedication to providing top-notch customer service were crucial in allowing him to quickly build Best In The House Tickets into a successful ticket brokerage firm. The company is located in Ithaca, NY.

As the business grew it soon became clear that the operation required more work than one person could handle. Wallenstein's wife, Jaime, joined him in running the business, which the couple now runs together. A "mom and pop" company, the Wallensteins believe that their small size allows them to offer excellent, personalized customer service, while still providing quality tickets at market prices.
