It competes against proprietary protocol based software like Skype, Yahoo! Voice, as well as other open standard based VoIP software. TechnologyVbuzzer is a closed source software developed by Softroute Corporation located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It adopts the common server-client architecture to route the calls and exchange text messages. Vbuzzer text messaging employs the popular XMPP protocol and its internet telephony employs the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).
