Diabetes Mine is a Web 2.0 (Health 2.0) web log focused on issues related to diabetes. It is written by Amy Tenderich in the San Francisco Bay Area. The website is the highest ranking diabetes blog[1], and ranks in the Top 10 of the World’s Top Blogs in Health and Medicine.[2] Its audience includes people affected by diabetes, purveyors of diabetes-related products and services (such as pharmaceutical companies), venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.

About Amy Tenderich
When Amy Tenderich was diagnosed in May 2003 with type 1 diabetes[5] while in her mid-thirties, she attacked the subject with the curiosity and passion that was second nature to her in her career as a freelance writer.
After living overseas and many years of PR/marketing work for high-tech companies in Silicon Valley, based in San Francisco[6], Amy is currently a part-time freelance writer for the IT industry and a full-time mom. She is also a 2006 LillyforLife Achievement Award Winner,[7] having gained recognition for excellence in journalism. A diabetes expert for HealthCentral.com[8] and a monthly columnist for dLife,[9] Amy has co-authored a book called "Know Your Numbers, Outlive Your Diabetes".[10]
